Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 — Quantum Hackathon

The second edition of the Qiskit Fall Fest at FreeYa Mind Campus brings students, researchers and professionals to Iași for a weekend of quantum computing — with Qiskit, access to IBM Quantum resources, and mentors next to you while you build.

Two tracks

Beginner track. For people who are starting now. A preparatory session on 5 November walks you through Qiskit and the tools, so you arrive on Friday ready to write your first circuits instead of installing software.

Advanced track. Challenges proposed by researchers. The final selection of challenges is being put together and will be announced here before the event.

Programme

The hackathon opens on Friday at 18:30 and ends on Sunday, with the awards ceremony at 12:30. The hour-by-hour schedule will be published on this page as soon as it is fixed.

Teams

Apply with a team, or on your own. Teams are also formed in the first hours of the hackathon, so nobody is left without one — if you already have a team, tell us in the form.

Prizes

There are prizes for the best projects. We are keeping the details for the opening — but they are worth competing for.

Jury and mentors

The jury and the mentors will be announced in the coming weeks.

Places are limited

We read every application and select participants based on what you write in the registration form, so give it a few minutes. You will hear from us by email either way.
