FreeYa Mind Campus

The Campus

A privately funded science campus built around a simple idea: bring industry-ready quantum computing, world-class education and entrepreneurship to Iași — as part of Romania's National Quantum Strategy.

Meet FMC

A campus anchored by a quantum computer

FreeYa Mind Campus fosters innovation across physics, AI, mathematics, medicine, drug discovery, chemical compounds and materials science. Students and researchers collaborate in a dynamic, future-driven environment, solving real-world challenges through quantum computing.

The iconic QFMC building hosts the Quantum Innovation Center powered by IBM: research laboratories, collaboration spaces, event venues and inter-connectable training rooms, along with an ample AI datacenter built on IBM and NVIDIA hardware. Student dormitories on campus can accommodate over 3,000 students.

Three pillars

Education. Research. Entrepreneurship.

Education

From high-school programs to PhD research: hands-on training with top European and American trainers, bridging formal education and the tech-based economy.

Research

Four research directions: quantum finance & cybersecurity, computational fluid dynamics, drug delivery, and nanotechnologies — with access to IBM Quantum resources.

Entrepreneurship

FreeYa incubators, offices for start-ups and collaboration with the IBM Quantum community support companies pushing the boundaries of technology.
